OUR NEXT VINYL RELEASE

NEXT VINYL RELEASE

Deep Inspiration Show Records proudly presents Family Things Vol. 2, the second instalment of the various artist 12” series focusing on the inner circle of our global family.

Assembled as always with love, the release features welcome contributions from friends and collaborators from Germany, Croatia, South Africa, USA and Scotland.

A1. Our friend Jan Kincl, the Zagreb-based producer, opens the record with Daylight (You Are My), a beautiful slow-burning track that doesn’t hide a serious nod to the original ‘hi tech soul’ blueprint. In line with his previous work, the track touches on the space where techno, house and jazz collide.

A2. Detroit’s Alton Miller steps up with an ear-catching remix of Daylight. Aside from being there at the dawning of house music, Alton’s subsequent work has secured his status as one of the Motor City’s finest artists. Masterful work on the keys and an infectious groove cast Daylight in a completely new context.

B1. The flipside starts with Wolford Heifer, aka Ntshabeng Donald Motseo aka Gary Hattenberger, the Limpopo-born producer now based in Johannesburg. The talent behind the Dirty Analog Records label delivers the curiously-named Odd Socks, a warm and organic deep house track featuring Inner Shift Music’s Brad Peterson on flute and keyboards.

B2. Closing the EP are Johannesburg’s Benklawk and Mabutana, also known as Tebogo Skhosana & Buti Messiase. Having released last year on Do It Now Recordings they now step forward here for DISR with Damage Control, a seriously deep and murky house cut that’s perfect for those hazy late-night moments.

FAMILYYY
BLOOD ties may be absent but with friends and familiar faces on board, plus a clutch of most-welcome newcomers too, the aptly-titled latest EP from Deep Inspiration Show Records sure feels like a family affair. And with deep, jazzy, soulful, brushstrokes stretched liberally across its musical canvas, Family Things even has what is fast-becoming a trademark label ‘sound’. Malta’s master of the deep Melchior Sultana teams up with erstwhile partner Janelle Pulo for a typically-sultry number Reversed, while another duo, Jan Ketel & Siggatunez, pitch in with the slamming-yet-soulful Wanna Fly. Croatia-based collaborators Jan Kincl, Borut Cvajner and Regis Kattie channel the genius of Gil Scott-Heron for stuttering, broken beat gem Paint It Black, while that man of many talents and alter egos Dan Piu presents the joyous Larry Heard inspired A Beautiful Day.

Warm, deep vibes and a distinct international flavour are the order of the day once again on this the second vinyl release from Deep Inspiration Show Records. Estonian producer Neuronphase sets the ball rolling as he did on the debut Inspirations Wax Sampler, this time with the groovy agit-house of Resistance. Berlin-based Peer Du [Beste Freunde/Certain Circles] makes his label debut with the emotive Never Let U Down, whilst the much-respected production tag team of Dan Piu [Switzerland] and Grant [France] aka Theory Of Movement join the family with the timeless Perfect Lover featuring the vocal talents of Altered Moods’ Debra Jones from the US. South African DJ June Jazzin takes his production bow with the classic deep house and jazz inspired ZiphoZonke, whilst label regular Roberto Bronco rounds off the EP with the slow-burning Inspiration featuring the spoken word skills of well-known South African deep house figure Mavuthu Dzege.
RobertoBronco
After having established Deep Inspiration Show Records on a foundation of deep-leaning house music EPs featuring the likes of Viktor Birgiss [Freerotation Records/Lagaffe Tales], Marco Nega [Altered Moods/Waehlscheibe] and Theory Of Movement [Dan Piu & Grant], our next move was obvious; to champion an album of instrumental hip-hop and jazz-inspired beats and flavas from Germany. But, honestly, the opportunity to release Lost Souls, the outstanding new project from Roberto Bronco, was too good to miss. Featuring ten soul-warming tracks of chilled, downtempo and supremely laid-back vibes from the experienced Bielefeld artist, mastered deftly as ever by the one and only Sven Weisemann, the question should not be is it deep but rather is it great? We think so. Some copy's are still in stock. Get yours.

A1 is by Neuronphase from Estonia. He is smashing here a deep Detroit inspired House track right at ya and has already released two great records on Serie Limitee. A2 is a slow atmospheric bomb by Deep Sentiments from Johannesburg/South-Africa. He´s definitely someone who has a name in his country when it comes to deep underground music. B1 comes up by Marco Nega from Germany who isn't new into game too. He already released on labels like Bu-Mako, Batti Batti, Altered Moods Recordings, Underground Quality and many more. Be prepared for a raw but lush sounding romantic profound track. Just the way we love it! B2 is by Viktor Birgiss from Iceland. The main guy behind Lagaffe Tales delivers a timeless piece of House music with jazzy influences. This one definitely deserves a place on wax! B3 and the last track on this special compilation is by Roberto Bronco from Germany. A short but dope sounding infinite track that could last forever!
